This study reports a series of five patients who were immunologically competent but living in an endemic area for tuberculosis. Treatment with antituberculous therapy and early mobilization of the knee joint led to a successful outcome in all cases without patellectomy or arthrodesis. DOI: 10.1016/j.knee.2005.09.006
