Abstract Pain and swelling are often severe, X-rays may look relatively normal. Median nerve may be involved by direct contusion or later swelling. May need acute decompression of the median nerve. Look for concomitant injuries from this high-energy trauma-CMC dislocation, radio/ulnar dislocation, elbow dislocation, radial head fracture.
